UPS Delivery Exception

I've been expecting a UPS delivery of ammo from Ammunition To Go, located in Texas. Originally I was supposed to have it delivered yesterday, then they updated to say it would be today. I got home this afternoon and saw a email from UPS Quantum View notifying me of a "Exception" due to "Adverse Weather Conditions". The tracking says it left Mexquite, TX on 4/16 and at 3:00am in Seattle it's Adverse Weather Conditions. The weather has been absolutely perfect here the last couple of days with temps in the high 60's to low 70's.

WTF!!!!!:banghead:

You are not telling a lie on that.......

The major carriers and cutting back on service because alot of the corporate acct's are going bankrupt thus removing the need to have the service in that area.

This is not good and it will only get worse going forward.

Must be alot of shooters at UPS. I got some 380 delivered yesterday and the driver wanted to know what caliber it was and what pistol I shot it with.
A month back I got a package from DPMS and the driver knew what DPMS sells and has seen their firearms. So far so good in Texas.

At this point I'm a bit freaked because I did see UPS trucks driving around this afternoon so the Adverse Weather Conditions don't seem to be holding the trucks up much. There hasn't been an update yet as to when the delivery has been rescheduled for and the conspiracy theorist in me suspects Ministry of Homeland Security or some such. When I called UPS to let them know the weather here is fine, they gave me a bunch of crap about how it could be bad weather somewhere else and how they could understand my frustration.

That's good to know, thanks.

Meatman - I've had deliveries many times from UPS and have had a number of delayed shipments - no big deal. I'm just curious about their Exception reason when they could only tell me it's the Extreme weather we are having and as I said, the weather here has been extremely nice. I don't overreact a lot and we'll just have to wait and see if I've done that by posting here. :15_1_70v:
